The product rule is used to find the derivative of the product of two or more functions. The rule is given by ⅆf(x)⋅g(x)ⅆx=ⅆf(x)ⅆx⋅g(x)+f(x)⋅ⅆg(x)ⅆx. The rule is applied automatically when the derivand is a product.
